Prior to coming to Waterford, Jenny spent over 3 decades leading premium experience brands in the tourism and hospitality sector. With an abundance of senior leadership experience, and with a customer-centric focus in her DNA, she loves being able to utilise her passion and energy for people and creating community spirit at the heart of what we do at Waterford. Working with people energises Jenny and she is happiest when connecting with residents, hearing their amazing stories, and seeing them enjoying their surroundings with family and friends. She likes to get to know residents 1-on-1 and is always on hand to support and give advice. Another key aspect of Jenny’s role is to ensure the efficient operation of the village and maintaining the premium living offering at Waterford. She is excited to see the village grow, whilst staying true to its boutique and personalised feel. In her own time, Jenny loves the opportunity to travel and experience different destinations, cultures and people. The beach is her happy place but equally loves losing herself in an art gallery or on a sculpture trail.

Tracey was born and raised in the heart of the Waikato in a close-knit rural community and grew up in an energetic and sports-loving family. With 25 years of experience in the tourism industry, primarily managing a unique American student educational and cultural programme, Tracey quickly builds connections with people from all walks of life. It was a deeply personal journey that brought her to the retirement living and aged care sector. She supported her very independent 82-year-old mother through the process of moving between three retirement villages - across two cities – which was eye opening. Faced with little information and not sure where to begin, Tracey kept thinking, ‘there must be an easier way’ and that ignited her desire to guide and make the process more seamless for others. As Waterford’s Sales Manager, she draws daily on her own experiences, understanding the questions you likely have, and things you need to know, to make informed decisions. Tracey has a true passion for people and loves supporting residents on their journey to creating a new home at Waterford. Outside of work Tracey lives with her husband and has two grown sons. You’ll often find them on outdoor adventures down at the beach or carving up the powdery slopes of the South Island.

Lisa is our fabulous Village Co-ordinator and is often the first person to greet you as you walk in the door. Her role encompasses many things – from looking after the activities calendar and weekly newsletter, driving the village van for excursions, communications with residents and the local community and much, much more! Her connection with the residents is what she loves best about working at Waterford. She looks forward to hearing updates about their lives, learning about their rich histories, , and most of all, sharing the wonderful experiences they have on their trips to different destinations across Auckland. Having 20+ years on the floristry industry, she has even run floral art workshops at the village. Living just down the road with her two children, you’re likely to bump into her out and about Hobsonville. In summer, she loves to go camping, kayaking and paddle-boarding, then during the colder months you’ll find her on the sidelines cheering on her kids at their football games.

Carmela is one of Waterford’s longest standing staff members and has been with us since before our Hobson apartments opened. With over a decade in the industry, she is a Jill-of-all-trades who wears many hats – from Health & Safety, tech. support, billing and general problem-solving. One of Carmela’s favourite parts of her job is getting residents settled in their new home. She is committed to making newcomers feel welcome, reassured and supported throughout the process of moving in and beyond. In her own time, Carmela cherishes spending time with her parents, as well as her two daughters and grandchildren who are based in the Bay of Plenty. She enjoys walking and getting out on her e-bike. Carmela also likes DIY and has recently bought herself a circular saw to work on her latest project – an outside gate.

Murray can fix almost anything thanks to his many years of experience in maintenance roles and as an Automotive Machinist. His days are kept busy with the upkeep of our premium village, amenities and grounds, assisting residents with odd jobs, and liaising with contractors as needed and managing the maintenance plan. Murray enjoys starting the morning with a circuit of the village for his routine checks, admiring the manicured gardens and groomed hedges along the way. The highlight of his role is receiving heartfelt thanks from residents when he completes a job for them. Murray is the proud dad of two children and has 3 grandchildren in Australia. In his free time, you’ll find him riding his motorcycle, at the gym, or pounding the pavements and tracks around the city.
